Client: Our Pune Insurance Major  European Global client

As a Senior Unix Systems Administrator, you will utilise your extensive experience across a multitude of Operatings Systems – Solaris, AIX & Redhat. The position comes with a diverse range of responsibilities and challenges, such as: Providing technical input regarding the unix infrastructure and propose ideas and solutions for service improvement. Provide systems maintenance to ensure the integrity of the environment by keeping OS levels up to date and environment being constantly managed and monitored. Overall Unix support to resolve issues where required and provide technical input and analysis and problem management including management of maintenace vendors. Provide technical expertise in all areas of Solaris, AIX & Redhat upgrades, for both day to day activities and projects.

• Desired industry / vendor certifications SCSA, RHCE, AIX SA

• 5 years + experience with AIX, Redhat & Solaris.

• Demonstrated ability to respond to critical system failures

• 5 years +Experience with SUN & IBM Hardware

• Experience with HP & IBM SAN infrastructure
• Ability to coach & mentor staff – cross team collaboration
• Participate in outside core business hours on-call and scheduled work
• Work independent or as part of a team
Desirable Criteria
• Exposure to IBM Tivoli Storage Manager

• Exposure to IBM z10 Mainframe

• Experience with project planning, including development of plans & schedules.
