SOE SCCM Engineer

Job Purpose
This role is responsible for the Management of Desktop SOE and Applicaiton packages
The role entails Packaging of applications in MSI format and utilising Software Deployment Tools such as SCCM 2012. The role is the escalation point for SOE related issues, providing 2nd and 3rd Level suport and mentoring of the Service Desk and Field Service staff.
This role also provides advice and recommendations in the development and advancement of the SOE to align with current and future requirements of the Organisation. This extends to Desktop Virtualisation and the delivery of Applications utilising XenApp and App-V. Provides technical expertise in the Development and Design of all Facets of the Desktop space, including Group Policy and software delivery and support mechanisms
Responsibile for the gathering of business requirements for Application packaging, and turns these requirements into a successfully deployed applicaiton to the Allianz Business After hours and weekend work is required to allow for testing and deployments. On-Call support is required on a rostered basis
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Excellent Knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7, Server 2003 and 2008 R2
• Ability to utilise a variety of Software Distribution and Management tools such as SMS 2003, SCCM 2007 and Active Directory
• Extensive Install Shield and WPS experience
• Experience Providing 3rd Level SOE and windows systems support
• Excellent Application Packaging skills and experience
• Experience with Design and Development of SOE and Group Policy
• Excellent knowledge of Desktop and Laptop hardware
• proven ability in creating and updating Detailed accurate documentation
• Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills
• Vendor Certification
• Desktop Virtualisation – Citrix XenDesktop
• Application Virtualisation utilising App-V and XenApp
• ITIL and Change Management Exposure
• Exposure to Appsense and other User Profile Management tools.
