Client: Our Pune Insurance Major European Global client
Java Web-Services expert having good experience on development \ enhancement projects along with experience \ awareness of complete SDLC.
Major Responsibilities
• Design and implement web services using Java technologies
• Work as part of the development team to implement common business services and in specific integrations using web services (SOAP)
• Developing core integration technologies supporting SOA-based applications
• Collaborate across multiple teams, estimation of development tasks and reporting of development progress
• Mentoring of junior resources, teach and coach team on best practice of implementing Java based applications
Technical Skills (Mandatory)
o Minimum of 2 years developing web services applications( SOAP)
o 2+ years of experience in developing Java based applications in an iterative / agile-like manner
o Very good knowledge of JDK 5+
o Experience in maximizing the use of modern enterprise integration technologies to accelerate time to market
o Understanding web services architecture and design and governance
o Deep understanding of SOAP, REST, WSDL, MVC, XML, Web applications
o Experience with RDBMS, DB2 preferred
o Experience with using ESB for web services, JBoss preferred
o Working knowledge on non-functional requirements especially security/ performance, maintainability etc.
o A passion for integration technologies is a must
o Knowledge of build frameworks(Maven, Ant) and Continuous Integration
Functional/Domain Knowledge (If required)
Good to have exposure to Insurance Domain
Other skills (Preferable technical skills /Soft skills)
• Sound awareness and/or expertise of complete software lifecycle, including delivering with quality and on time.
• Good written and oral communication and presentation skills
